The Silver Y is the moth you always start
with. It has rather limited upgrade upgrade capabilities. Upgrade to a
better moth as early as possible. Trading with a Silver-Y is very
limited, since it can only fig the small pod.

The Moon Moth has double the engine capacity
of the Silver Y, and more battery power. This moth is only used as
cabs. It is the only two-seat moth available. I don't recommend buying
this moth. Get the Neo-Tiger instead.

The Neo-Tiger is my favorite moth. It's fast,
maneuverable and can carry all available equipment. When fully
upgraded and not equipped with a cargo-pod, this moth easily outruns
all other moths. It's a joy to fly it.

The Hawk is the toughest moth that's always
available. It's slower and less maneuverable than the Neo-Tiger
however. This is the favourite moth among the pirates and others in
Misplaced Optimism. I personally prefer the Neo-Tiger however, since
it's faster.

The Death's Head moth is the only moth which isn't
readily available. It appears only later in the game and is similar to
the police moth when it comes to capabilities. It's big, slow and
can take a lot of punishment. It's a very good moth, but it's hard to
escape battles with it (unless you have the afterburner) due to it's
slow speed, and it might be hard to target faster moths. Read the FAQ for more information on how to get it.
