Here I will write hints on how to solve certain plot elements. Please note that this is not the complete solution. The hints below are ordered in plot order. The different "events" of the plot is divided by a newline.

Please only use these tips if you are stuck! Following a walk-through or even the short plot outline on this page will make the game shorter and spoil your fun (unless you like to cheat of course). I personally got stuck once or twice since I didn't understand what I supposed to do after viewing some of the video messages.

  • To start the plot, target the subject in the email entitled *Cover Up* and fly to that location. This is mainly a "witness" event, so you don't have to do anything but to fly there.

  • The item to destroy in the Port area is no the ones of "Unknown Origin".
  • The item is located near Mass driver (target subject in the "Decoy required" message).
  • If you have a level three radar, you will see the mass driver part on the radar as a white object.
  • You can avoid killing the Lazarus ships in the Port mission by simply flying past them.
  • When the mass driver part is destroyed, your energy will be drained quickly. Same thing happens with the Lazarus ships. Leave as fast as you can.
  • A Klamp-G transport will arrive to pick up the unknown items and you will receive your reward.

  • About this time you should receive a garbled transmission. Keep this one and all other ones, since you will get an opportunity to decode them later.
  • For a while there will be no more interactive events. There will be numerous sightings of unknown ships around the city.

  • Eventually you will receive an email entitled "Important Mission".
  • Equipped with a cargo pod and a drone, follow the instructions in the email. A level three radar helps here as well.
  • When done, go to Psycho Bob 1 (NE Downtown, use Navigation -> Local Services).

  • Find the secret bases in the Reservoir and Riverside craters.
  • The package you picked up earlier is a radar cloak. Find below 100 feet (the box around the radar will be blinking red) to avoid detection. Visible detection is still possible.
  • The Lazarus base is around the island.
  • The Klamp-G base is in the western part of Riverside.
  • You need to target both bases with the "T" key to proceed.
  • It might be a good idea to lock the two bases in your navigation computer.

  • The research facility is in the tunnel from Downtown to the Port crater.
  • The gang ships will be leaving it with the needed materials.
  • To remain neutral you should be able to buy the material in for example Alpha Trade Center.
  • You only need one of each.

  • You only need one item from one of the bases.
  • If your bomb misses, get more from Psycho Bob 1.

  • The deflector will give you a fusion cell for helping him. If your ship already has one, you won't get anything (thus it's better to wait to buy one).

  • Destroy convoys leaving the Research Facility.
  • It's better to destroy them in the Downtown <-> Port tunnel than anywhere else.

  • Follow instructions you get from Bob's apprentice. They are very straightforward and doesn't need any explanation.

  • Don't enter the port area after the first occasion. It will most likely kill you.

  • If you haven't got a fusion cell by now you need to get one.

  • Go to the prison mentioned in a video message. You might be attacked.

  • Go to the Lazarus Hightower and get the garbled messages translated.
  • The tower is in south-eastern Downtown.

  • The needed moth is in Syd's workshop.
  • If you can't find the workshop, take a cab.

  • Target the sender of one of the newly translated messages. Go there and dock.
  • After stealing the moth, everyone will attack you. You are completely unarmed. Fly as fast as you can to the correct location.
  • If you feel like having some fun, enter the Port crater and turn around looking at the entrance. After a while lots of ships should start to arrive. They will die quickly after entering (faster than they can leave). If they shoot at you, move in some more. That's it. These tips are based on the Walk-through by Phil Eckford, which is also available on this site. I have also added my some of own tips and ideas.
