As you might already know, my name is David Hedbor. I was born
November 30th 1974, in a town called Eksjö in Sweden. My eyes
are blue and my hair is blond, just like the archetype
Swede (over the years my hair has become less and less blond though).
Since 1st or 2nd grade until the first part of 2000 I wore
glasses, as you can see in the image to the left. In April of
2000 I went through LASIK eye surgery. My vision is now in the
process of stabilizing. It's very possibly that my right eye
will need a touch-up but at least I can see fine without
glasses. I'm also about 95% color-blind - I can see colors,
although (I presume) to a lesser extent than most other people.
I am fairly neutral when it comes to politics and I'm not
religious. You could probably call me an agnostic rather than
atheistic since solid proof of some superior being (be it a
god or aliens pretending to be gods) could sway my beliefs.

I lived in Lillaryd, outside Tranås in Småland, Sweden
from when I was born till I was just about 15. It used to be
a farm before we moved there. We did have both sheep and
chickens at times. This is a
picture of the main house. There was, in addition to the
main house, an ex-barn used as a garage, the chicken and
sheep house and a guest house which never was in perfect
shape. In all it was a very nice and quiet place to grow up
which it wasn't too far away from civilization.

In the end of 1989 we moved to my grand-parents old house
(they moved to an apartment in downtown Tranås). Here I got
a much smaller room, although it had the nice feature of
always being cool in the summers. The house itself was
bigger than our previous one and it was by the lake
Sommen. However I always missed the great, fresh spring
water that we had in Lillaryd - especially considering the
bad quality of the water in Hätte.

In the summer of 1993 I moved to Linköping to study at the
university. I lived in two
different apartments during this time. One very small
one-room one and later a 3 room, 60 m² one. It was nice to
finally live on my own.

In August 1996 I moved to Seattle, WA in the US. For the
past year my wife, Stephanie, who comes from Seattle, had
lived with me in Sweden. We decided, for numerous reasons,
that moving back to her home City/Country was a good
idea. Since then we have moved twice and we now live in a
nice townhouse in Lynnwood, north of Seattle.
